Thermalite® insulated concrete forms is
a unique stay-in-place system for building concrete foundations
and walls. Used in the new construction of custom-built concrete
homes, Thermalite consists of interlocking polystyrene panels and
polypropylene ties. When assembled, the ties form a bridge between
two panels and the concrete is poured through to form the foundation
and walls.
Building with Thermalite saves time and money
for the contractor. Installation is fast and simple. Thermalite
also contributes to peace of mind, personal security and cost-savings
for the homeowner.
While Thermalite’s components are very
lightweight and easy to pack, ship, store and install, they strengthen
concrete foundations and walls. Thermalite’s product makes
your home and/or office a much safer place to be because of it’s
two-hour fire rating, its ablilty to withstand winds of up to 140
mph and its increased resistant to earthquakes.
With thermal values possibly exceeding R-20,
Thermalite can significantly reduce home heating and cooling costs.
As a result, the homeowner can save up to 80% on energy bills. This
advantage also conserves precious resources, which helps the natural
environment.
Thermalite is a member of the U.S. Green Building
Council, ICFA, and is UL approved by Omega Point Laboratories.
Thermalite’s President, Charles J. Severino,
has developed today’s new and fine-tuned ICF with many important
